This route joins the mountains and the sea. The route is quite similar to the Baztan route, but with this one you will have the opportunity to see Hondarribia, a coastal town that is certainly a plus.

Stage 1: ELIZONDO-AINHOA
The stage starts in Elizondo. We will leave the village and start climbing up until we arrive in the neighbourhood of Beartzun. From there, we will descend towards the village of Erratzu. After biking through Bozate, a neighbourhood known for the ‘cagots’ or ‘agotes’, we will climb up to the Itzulegi hill and we will enter the French Basque Country among green meadows and finish the stage in the beautiful Ainhoa.
Stage 2: AINHOA-HONDARRIBIA
We will leave Ainhoa and head to the lovely village of Sara. From there, we will climb to the Lizuniaga hill and reach the Ibardin mountain pass. Then we will descend toward the sea and reach Hondarribia.
Stage 3: HONDARRIBIA-DONEZTEBE
The stage will begin in the city up until we reach the natural park of Aiako Harriak and enjoy some unique landscapes. From there, we will bike to the small villages of the Bortziriak valley and finish the route biking through a peaceful promenade along the Bidasoa river.
Stage 4: DONEZTEBE-ELIZONDO
We will reach the natural park of Bertiz and cross its beautiful forest. Then we will leave it behind, but the route will continue through forests and breathtaking landscapes until we reach the capital of the Baztan valley.
