Elizondo
Arrival at the hotel. We will have a meeting to talk about the route and hand out the material, clear up any doubts, etc.
Stage 1: ELIZONDO-ORBAIZETA
We will depart from Elizondo and head to the neighbourhood of Beartzun. From there, we will cross the border and go down until we reach Aldude and Urepel. Once in Urepel, we will climb up to Roncesvalles, which will be the most difficult section of the day. We will rest for a bit and then, much more calmly, continue towards the Navarrese village of Orbaizeta.
Stage 2: IRATI
This will be a circular stage. We will have the opportunity to enjoy an entire route through the Irati forest and see the most beautiful places of it.
Stage 3: ORBAIZETA-AURIZPERRI
Departure from Orbaizeta through the fabulous forest that surrounds it. We will reach a section of the Camino de Santiago (or Way of St. James) that will take us to the Ibañeta pass. From there, we will head west to descend to the Sorogain fields. After taking in the beautiful sceneries of Sorogain, we will continue biking until we reach the village of Espinal and rest.
Stage 4: AURIZPERRI-ELIZONDO
We will depart from Espinal and go to the mountainsides of Adi. We will climb progressively through a beech forest that will take us to the Urkiaga pass. Fast descent before we take on the second ascent of the day to reach the Azaldegi pass. From there, we will bike down to get to Elizondo and finish the route.
