Elizondo
Arrival at the hotel. We will have a meeting to clear up any doubts
Stage 1: ELIZONDO-DONEZTEBE
The stage will start in Elizondo with a hard climb to the Beltzuri hill. From there, we will arrive in a stream called ‘regata del infierno’ (hell’s stream). We will descend to the village of Etxalar to gain altitude and finish the stage along the Bidasoa greenway
Stage 2: DONEZTEBE-LEKUNBERRI
We will start by heading to the heart of the valley of Malerreka to climb to the lake that gives name to this route: LEURTZA. It is a spectacular place of great ecological interest and belongs to the Natura 2000 network. From there, we will bike towards the Larraun valley through impressive forests.
Stage 3: LEKUNBERRI-DONEZTEBE
Departure from Lekunberri to cross the beautiful valley of Basaburua and its oak forests. We will climb to the natural border of Belate and bike to Doneztebe down a very enjoyable descent.
Stage 4: DONEZTEBE-ELIZONDO
Despite being the shortest stage, it is full of impressive landscapes. The beginning of the stage will be calm. Then, we will begin a long climb to the village of Ziga. From there, we will bike through forests and breathtaking landscapes until we reach the village of Gartzain and bike down to Elizondo.
