Stages
Day 1- Doneztebe.
Arrival at the hotel. We will have a meeting to talk about the route and hand out the material, clear up any doubts, etc.
Day 2- Stage 1: DONEZTEBE-HONDARRIBIA
Departure from the heart of the valley of Malerreka in Navarre, which goes through the old track of the ‘tren txikito’ (little train) and e reaches the mouth of the beautiful river Bidasoa. It is a calm stage that will take you from the mountains to the sea without leaving the riverbanks. In Hendaye, we will get on the boat to finish the stage in Hondarribia.
Day 3- Stage 2: HONDARRIBIA- SAN SEBASTIAN
We will depart from the beautiful town of Hondarribia and go up to the Jaizkibel pass. We will see the magical Cape Higuer Lighthouse and the Hermitage of Guadalupe. We will continue until we reach Pasaia, where we will get on the boat to cross to the shore of Trintxerpe. From there, we will only have a few kilometres left until we arrive in San Sebastian.
Day 4- Stage 3: SAN SEBASTIAN-LEKUNBERRI
We will leave San Sebastian following the Urumea river and bike to Andoain. From there, we will immerse ourselves in the beautiful greenway of Plazaola. This stage will take us to Navarre among tunnels and forests and through one of the most beautiful routes. We will finish the stage in the village of Lekunberri.
Day 5- Stage 4: LEKUNBERRI-DONEZTEBE
This stage will give you the opportunity to see the most rural Navarre. We will pass through little villages and reach the highest altitude of the route, the Orokieta hill. From there, we will descend towards Doneztebe to finish the route biking through spectacular landscapes.
